I have never hired an investigator before, where do I start?
First you need to make sure you retain the services of a reputable investigation agency. Check to make sure they are fully licensed and insured. Check your local Better Business Bureau to see if they have had complaints filed against them. Make sure they engage in investigation work only. You do not want to retain a security guard firm trying to do investigations as a sideline. Finally, do a "gut check". Does the agency you are talking to make you feel at ease? Are they using pressure tactics? After you have answered these questions for yourself, you will be ready to make the decision on what agency to hire.
